paul Treml
Designer, Builder, Bikepacker, Dad
Paul’s design work draws heavily from a formal education in design as well as many years of on-site construction experience. After working in residential construction as a framer and carpenter for several years, Paul pursued a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Minnesota's College of Design with a focus on modular, mobile, and residential architecture. Following work at a commercial architecture firm in Mexico City, Paul moved to Denver, CO and began to design and build various residential projects for clients. Paul now manages Field Trip LLC with its primary focus on good design, environmentally sustainability, and an acute attention to detail.
Brandon Kellogg
Architect, Mountain Biker, Dad
Brandon’s interest in architecture began at a very young age. As a kid he could often be found with his head buried in a sketch book drawing sea creatures, airplanes and wild landscapes, driven by a curiosity about how these things work, how they move and fit together. How they grow. The University of Colorado’s school of Environmental Design was an opportunity for Brandon to explore this curiosity in a very hands-on way while also developing styles of visual communication and formal expression, the culmination of which formed the foundation of his creative process.
Brandon has gravitated toward real-world experience and hands-on opportunities to deepen his understanding of the practice of architecture, opting to pursue a working path toward licensure rather than the more traditional academic route. This trajectory has granted him opportunities to work on a wide range of project types including high-end custom homes, LEED accredited multifamily housing, Urban-infill and adaptive reuse projects as well as some more artistically oriented undertakings such as mural painting, visual arts and installation work. Watching a project take shape is the spark that keeps his creative process in motion.
